Don Rowan

Don Rowan of Rowan and Associates, passed away yesterday afternoon. I worked for Don eight years as a young man and learned many skills and live lessons I’ve been able to carry with me through my life. Don was a graduate of Michigan State University and came to Alabama via Michigan and Los Angeles. He was a great crusty old goat I loved. Don worked extensively with the Birmingham area Sertoma Clubs and worked endlessly raising money for speech and hearing impaired children. I will carry an image of him in his Michigan State University Blazer (as a leader of the Birmingham area Touchdown Club) and his white meerschaum pipe. My condolences are extended to his family.
